Kate?s fascination with quilting began in 1991 when she received a hand-quilted Grandmother?s Flower Garden quilt as a wedding present. The gift of a second scrappy quilt further solidified her love of fabrics and colors. She made her first quilt in 1993 to celebrate the birth of her first child and has been a devoted quilter ever since.
She became a professional longarmer in 2016, opening FabriKated Quilts in New Mexico. Though she has been an instructor for Sew Steady and Westalee Design products since 2015, over the years her teaching work has greatly expanded. As a quilting educator, she has traveled across the country and internationally to teach template quilting for both longarm and domestic machine quilting. These incredible tools have helped her to move her skills to the next level and she wants to share those skills with you!
She is proud to be a Westalee Accredited Teacher and a Sew Steady Education Ambassador. She wants to help you be the quilter you have always dreamed of being, so she has creates education content and products to move your quilting to the next level. Let?s get stitching.
